Winnipeg police team up with kids for holiday ‘Shopping with Cops’ event at St. Vital Centre

There was a heavy police presence at St. Vital Centre on Friday, but it was for a good cause. 

It was part of the annual Shopping with Cops event, in partnership with the busy mall.

Dozens of police officers were paired with kids to go around the mall helping the kids get holiday-ready.

“Each kid received $200 to spend on anything from winter essentials to festive surprises (and yes, a few well-deserved treats!), the smiles said it all,” Winnipeg Police Service said on Facebook.

Children and cops went around the mall getting what they needed, and had a lot of fun in the process.
