The spirit of giving was alive and well at one Winnipeg police station.

Members of the East District Station partnered with the community for a Cram the Cruiser event, collecting food for Harvest Manitoba.

The event was successful, and the results were incredible.

“Together, we collected 312 lbs of non‑perishable food items and 14 brand‑new toys to help families in need this holiday season,” said the Winnipeg Police Service in a post on Facebook. “Harvest Manitoba feeds tens of thousands of Manitobans every month, and we’re proud to support this vital organization and our community by contributing (even in part!) to that number.”

The annual event is held just before Christmas to help ensure all families can celebrate the holiday season.

The Winnipeg Police Service is thankful to everyone who donated and helped make a difference.

“Your generosity truly shows the strength of our community.”
