A popular pizza snack has been recalled due to the potential presence of E. coli.

The voluntary recall, announced by General Mills over the weekend, affects select Pilsbury Pizza Pops sold in Canada with the best-before dates of June 9, 2026, to June 14, 2026.

The affected products include: Pillsbury Pepperoni and Bacon Pizza Pops (30 count), Pillsbury Pepperoni and Bacon Pizza Pops (8 count), Pillsbury Frank’s RedHot Pepperoni and Bacon Pizza Pops (4 count), and Supremo Extreme Pepperoni and Bacon Pizza Pops (30 count).

Other Pillsbury Pizza Pops products are not affected by this voluntary recall.

“Food safety is General Mills’ top priority, and the company is working closely with retail partners to remove the potentially impacted product.”

Food contaminated with E. coli O26 may not look or smell spoiled, but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and watery to bloody diarrhea. In severe cases of illness, some people may have seizures or strokes, need blood transfusions and kidney dialysis or live with permanent kidney damage. In severe cases of illness, people may die.

Anyone with the items in their freezers is asked to dispose of them or return them to the retailer where they were purchased.
