All-star receiver, Nic Demski is staying with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after signing a two-year contract extension on Thursday.
Demski was scheduled to become a free agent in February. The new deal keeps him with the hometown team through the 2027 season.
In 2025, Demski completed his third consecutive 1,000-yard receiving season, finishing the season with 67 receptions for 1,001 yards and seven touchdowns.
Following Demski’s success, he earned a spot on the CFL West Division All-Star Team for the fifth consecutive year. For the past two seasons, Demski has led the Bombers in receiving yards.
Over his career, he has 42 receiving touchdowns and 494 receptions for 6,285 yards, including his 2025 totals. His success has put him in seventh place on the Bombers’ all-time receiving yardage list with 6,285 yards.
Demski was originally selected by Winnipeg rival, Saskatchewan Roughriders in the first round, sixth overall, of the 2015 CFL Draft before returning to his hometown team in 2018 as a free agent.
He has appeared in 152 regular-season games and five Grey Cups. Demski was part of the championship team with the Blue Bombers in 2019 and 2021.
