Camp Arnes is reaching out to Manitobans for support as they face some significant maintenance issues.

This weekend, the camp reported facing several urgent maintenance issues in their staff housing due to severe weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

“Our staff are currently safe and sheltered, but these situations require more than temporary fixes,” said Camp Arnes. “Our staff are the heartbeat of Camp Arnes. They serve faithfully year-round so that young people can encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and experience the joy of camp.”

Camp Arnes says they have already hired skilled professionals to address the issues, but the unplanned repairs come with immediate costs that are beyond their regular operating budget.

Camp Arnes is now asking for prayers to find and build lasting solutions.

“We want Camp Arnes to continue to be a place where young people can grow for generations to come, and that starts with caring well for our staff,” said Camp Arnes staff in a post on social media. “We’re inviting our community to come alongside us right now and prayerfully consider financial contributions to help us respond responsibly.”

Anyone interested in contributing can call 204-642-7618, mail a cheque to Camp Arnes ro donate online.

“Thank you for standing with Camp Arnes, through prayer, generosity, and encouragement, as we care for the people who make this ministry possible.”
