After a transit operator was shot with a pellet gun in October 2025, the youth suspect has been identified and charged.
On October 27, 2025, a Winnipeg Transit operator was shot after a dispute over a fare with what is believed to be a pellet gun.
On January 4, 2026, following the investigation, officers have identified and arrested a 14-year-old boy at his residence in East Kildonan. He faces the following charges:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking x 2
- Mischief Under $5,000/Obstruct in Enjoyment
He was detained in custody.
