High winds, snow, and icy conditions continue to cause travel trouble, with more highways closing Friday afternoon after an already tough commute in the morning.

Highway 1 has closed in both directions from Headlingley to Sidney, with many drivers stuck on the road for hours.
The RCMP is urging all Manitobans not to drive on closed highways. Mounties say that response times from emergency personnel have been severely hampered this afternoon.
Current highway closures

The following highways are now closed:
- Highway 14 from Hwy 3 to Hwy 75
- Highway 23, from Hwy 200 to Hwy 59
- Highway 30 from Hwy 14 to US Border
- Highway 34 from Hwy 245 to US Border
The following highways remain closed:
- Highway 1, from Headingley to Portage la Prairie
- Highway 1, from Portage la Prairie to Sidney (Hwy 352)
- Highway 2, from Elm Creek to Fannystelle
- Highway 2, from Fannystelle to Hwy 100
- Highway 3, from Sperling to Hwy 100
- Highway 3, from Crystal City to Sperling
- Highway 5, from Ochre River to Kelwood
- Highway 13, from Elm Creek to Carman
- Highway 16, from Neepawa to Gladstone
- Highway 26, from St. Francis Xavier to Hwy 1 (near Portage la Prairie)
- Highway 75, from Morris to the USA border
- Highway 75, from Morris to Ste Agathe
- Highway 276, from Ste. Rose du Lac to Toutes Aides.
These closures are due to poor winter driving conditions and blowing snow.
