Winnipeg police are searching for a suspect after a cab driver was robbed late last week in the William Whyte area.

On Thursday, Jan. 22, at around 12:30 a.m. Winnipeg police say a man requested to be dropped off in the 400 block of Charles Street. Winnipeg police are still searching for the suspect, who is described as Caucasian or Indigenous in appearance, approximately 35 years old, with a heavy build (200-300 lbs), and with possible facial hair on his chin. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and a black toque and had a shotgun.
