Great news for Winnipeg Blue Bombers fans.
Three-time Grey Cup Champion and veteran defensive end Willie Jefferson has been re-signed on a one-year contract with the Bombers.
This will be Jefferson’s seventh season with the Bombers and 12th in the Canadian Football League. Before joining the Bombers, he played for Edmonton from 2014 to 2015 and Saskatchewan from 2016 to 2018.
Jefferson, a fan favourite, has won many accolades throughout his years in the CFL, including the CFL’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player and the Blue Bombers’ Most Outstanding Player in 2019. He has also taken home the top defender in 2019, 2022 and 2023.
