Students are back in class at Bernie Wolfe School after an unspecified threat forced the school to evacuate Wednesday morning.

The River East Transcona School Division says, out of an abundance of caution, additional supports and safety measures have been put in place today.

School resource officers and clinical staff will also be on site today to support any students affected by the incident.

Officials say they continue to work closely with the Winnipeg Police Service to plan for student and staff safety.

The school division thanks students, staff, and parents for their cooperation and understanding of Wednesday’s situation.
