Portage la Prairie RCMP are investigating after offensive posters were placed on storefront windows in the community.

Mounties say the posters were discovered Monday shortly after 8 a.m. on various buildings and parked vehicles along Saskatchewan Avenue in Portage la Prairie.

The posters include anti-semitic imagery, including a partial image of a swastika. They also contained racial references to white nationalism and white power.

Manitoba RCMP say they take all instances of suspected hate-motivated crimes seriously and are investigating in hopes of finding a suspect. If charged, the suspect could face up to two years in prison.
