A 43-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle south of Winnipeg late last week, police say.
The Winnipeg Police Service says that just before 4 a.m. on Friday, February 13, West District General Patrol officers were called to the intersection of Brady Road and Gousseau Road for a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The intersection is a gravel crossroad about 1.5 kilometres south of the Brady Road Landfill.
The pedestrian, a 43-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and later died. Police have not released his name.
Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the collision and cooperated with officers. The Traffic Division continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
Police seeking information from public
The next of kin of the deceased have been notified.
Investigators are now asking anyone with information, including dash camera footage, to contact the Traffic Division at 204-986-7085.
