It’s time to “know your zone” as snow-clearing equipment prepares to clear Winnipeg residential streets later this week.

Begining on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7 a.m. until Saturday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m., a residential parking ban will be in place. 

During the residential parking ban, the winter route parking ban will be suspended, allowing motorists to park overnight on designated winter routes Thursday and Friday.

Drivers must adhere to other temporary or unrelated signage in place such as no parking during rush hour or loading zones. 

The winter route parking ban will be reinstated following the conclusion of the residential ban, which will not allow parking on designated winter routes daily from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Any vehicles parked in violation may recieve a $200 ticket ($150 if paid early) and be towed to a nearby street.
