Winnipeggers can now see exactly where their bus is in real time.
Passengers can now track buses using the Winnipeg Transit app, Navigo, or the Winnipeg Transit website to see exactly where buses are and plan their trips with confidence.
“Our goal is to make Transit a reliable, efficient transportation choice for Winnipeggers,” said Councillor Janice Lukes, Chair of the Standing Policy Committee on Public Works. “This is just one of many adjustments and improvements we’re making to help ensure people have the information they need to plan and confidently get where they need to be.”
The buses will be tracked using GPS and will appear as part of the search results on the map.
On Navigo, “Explore Routes” will display buses currently travelling along a route, while “Find Stops and Schedules” shows the next five buses heading to a selected stop. Passengers can also click on a bus to see its exact location and the time of the last update.
Passengers can download the Winnipeg Transit app or visit winnipegtransit.com to try the new feature. Current users are encouraged to make sure their app is up to date.
