Manitobans are being welcomed into the Government House to celebrate the holiday season.

Lt.-Gov. Anita R. Neville is inviting Manitobans to a series of free events this month, including a holiday choir concert featuring Manitoba’s own Nuovoce Chamber Choir next week.

Nuovoce was founded by husband-and-wife duo Justin Odwak and Sarah Sommer, and is known for delivering creative, high-calibre choral programming and providing opportunities for young singers to continue their musical journey beyond high school.

The event will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Government House. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 7 p.m.

People looking to attend are encouraged to register in advance with the Office of the Lieutenant-Governor by calling 204-945-2753.

Guests may reserve up to two seats. Large bags and backpacks are not permitted. Registration is now open; seating is limited. Admission is free.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item or a new, unwrapped toy. All donations will be given to the Christmas Cheer Board through the Lieutenant Governor’s Sharing Hope Initiative.
