Three people, including a firefighter, were taken to hospital Thursday evening following a fire in a West Broadway house.
The fire broke out just after 5:30 p.m. in a two-and-a-half-storey house in the 200 block of Young Street.
Heavy black smoke was coming from the home when crews arrived. One person had to be rescued from the home. The remaining occupants had safely self-evacuated before firefighters got to the scene.
It took about an hour to get the fire under control.
Two residents of the home were taken to hospital, one in critical condition, the other in stable condition. A firefighter was also injured and transported to hospital in stable condition.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire
The investigation is ongoing.
