Another day of snow leads to school closures and bus cancellations across Manitoba

A Montana Low continues to make its way through the province, leading to several school closures and bus cancellations.

The storm dropped significant snowfall in the higher elevations of the Manitoba escarpment, including Boisevain, which received around 25 cm and Morden, which reached 18 cm.

The system is expected to drop another 2-4 cm as it rolls out of the province later this evening.

Brandon School Division– Alexander, O’Kelly, & Spring Valley Schools are closed
Division scolaire franco-manitobaine– École Saint-Lazare is closed
Fort La Bosse School Division– All schools are closed
Lakeshore School Division– All schools are closed
Pine Creek School Division– All schools are closed
Portage la Prairie School Division– Hutterian schools are closed. All schools in Portage la Prairie and Oakville School are open.
Prairie Rose School Division– Cololny Schools are closed. All other schools are open.
Rolling River School Division– Colony Schools are closed. All other schools are open.
Turtle Mountain School Division– All schools are closed

Bus cancellations

Beautiful Plains School Division– Buses are not running. Schools are open
Division scolaire franco-manitobaine– Buses are not running for École Aurèle Lemoine, École Jours de Plaine, École régionale Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, École Gilbert-Rosset, École La Source and École Saint-Jean-Baptiste.
Mountain View School Division– All rural bus routes are cancelled. City buses are still running.
Portage la Prairie School Division– Buses will not be running
Prairie Rose School Division– Buses are cancelled
Rolling River School Division– Buses are cancelled.
Swan Valley School Division– Buses are cancelled.
