Two people are dead following a house fire Saturday morning in Winnipeg’s West End.
The fire broke out just before 10 a.m. in a home in the 300 block of Agnes Street, near St. Matthews Avenue.
Seven people were assessed at the scene. Three were initially taken to hospital in critical condition, two in stable condition and two were treated for minor injuries.

Two of the victims, an 18-year-old woman and a 48-year-old woman, have since succumbed to their injuries.
The remaining victim who was originally listed in critical condition has been upgraded to stable condition.
Winnipeg police have taken over the scene, and the Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
