Update: The southbound lanes of the East Perimeter have reopened as of 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
Previously: Traffic is backing up on the East Perimeter Highway Tuesday morning after a vehicle was left hanging over the Trans-Canada Highway overpass.
Emergency crews are on scene in the southbound lanes of the East Perimeter, where the truck is partially over the rail overpass near the Trans-Canada Highway, also known as Fermor Avenue.
The Winnipeg Police Service says both directions of the East Perimeter are now closed in both directions on the overpass.

All emergency response teams are on scene, and no injuries are reported. To avoid delays, choose an alternative route.

Callers to the Shine Dental Talk & Text Line report that southbound lanes are closed, and commuters are being diverted onto the westbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway.
Witnesses describe a significant emergency response in the area, and large delays.
The WPS says that no injuries have been reported. It remains unclear how long the closure will stay in place.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
