A fire in a St. Boniface apartment building sent three people to hospital Monday evening.
The blaze broke out just before 8:30 p.m. in a complex in the 400 block of Langevin Street.
When firefighters arrived, smoke was pouring out of the building. Crews were able to get the fire under control within an hour.
Three people were taken to hospital in unstable condition.
The city called in its Animal Services Agency and Emergency social Services team to provide support for pets and displaced residents.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
