A 30-year-old man is in custody after multiple vandalism incidents on Winnipeg Transit buses.
Winnipeg police say the man, who was court-ordered not to be on Winnipeg Transit property,
On January 11, 2026, between 1:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m, a 30-year-old man who was court-ordered not to be on Winnipeg Transit property boarded four separate buses and smashed a window on each one, causing around $3,000 in damage.
All of the incidents were captured on video surveillance and reported to police.
About 15 minutes after damaging the fourth bus, officers located the man walking in the 800 block of Main Street.
He was arrested and is now facing numerous charges, including mischief under $5000 x 4 and failure to comply with a probation order.
“Everyone, riders, operators, and transit staff, has a right to safety,” said the Winnipeg Police Service. “Violent and disruptive conduct will not be tolerated.”
He remains in custody.
