Last week brought some unexpected cheer as Siloam Mission welcomed a group of special visitors.
On Thursday, the Manitoba Moose stopped by the organization and spent the day serving breakfast, prepping lunch and sorting donations for Winnipeggers experiencing homelessness.
This is something that the Moose do every year, and something that sparks joy for those who work at and use Siloam Mission.
“Each year, their time and energy mean so much to our community, and this visit was no exception. The team jumped right in – helping sort donations, prep food, and serve breakfast – all while sharing laughs and connecting with our community members.”
The Manitoba Moose players say it’s something they enjoy doing.
“Thank you for having us,” said the Moose in a post on social media.
Siloam Mission says they’re grateful for the team’s commitment and generosity year after year.
“Thank you for showing up, giving your time, and supporting the Siloam community.”
