A 41-year-old man from the RM of La Broquerie is dead after losing control of his snowmobile on Boxing Day.
Steinbach RCMP say the crash happened just before noon near a residence located on Carriere Drive W, in the RM of La Broquerie.
RCMP say the man was riding the snowmobile around on private property when he lost control, crossed over a nearby roadway and collided with an embankment on the other side.
The impact of the crash caused the man, who was not wearing a helmet, to be flung from the snowmobile.
When RCMP arrived, they found the man suffering from life-threatening injuries. They provided care until EMS arrived.
The victim was transported to hospital via STARS Air Ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries.
