A pair of Manitoba mounties brought joy and laughter to the 67th Annual Pimicikamak Trapper’s Festival this past weekend.
The 67th annual festival included everything from log throwing and log sawing to a laughing contest and jigging competition.
However, the jigging competition wasn’t so much about skill as it was an opportunity to find the funniest dancer in the community.
Several people participated, including two members of the Cross Lake RCMP detachment.
The pair took to the stage and gave it their all, drawing bursts of laughter from the crowd.
The community later posted a video of the officers online, and several people reacted, with many giving them credit for trying.
“Nice to see good officers having fun,” one person wrote.
“It’s wonderful to see them participating in community activities. It creates rapport with the community. Way to go, guys,” said another.
In the end, the duo walked away with second place.
