Skating on the Nestaweya River Trail open again as temperatures drop

With the drop in temperatures, skating opens up for Winnipeggers as The Nestaweya River Trail is open for skating.

Skating in the Port Rink and along the Assiniboine River to the Donald Street Bridge and along the Red River to the Norwood Bridge. The on-land trails and rink by CN Stage have also reopened. Although the Canopy Rink remains closed.

Caution is advised for the walking and biking path along the Nestaweya River Trail as it remains in variable condition. 

The Forks only tests ice on the official trail, all other areas are not tested. People are asked to stick to the marked trail and only use official access points.
