Students will return to their classes at St. John’s High School Tuesday after a threat over the weekend forced the school to close on Monday.

Following consultation with the Winnipeg Police Service, officials determined that there was no threat to St. John’s High School or the surrounding community.

On Monday night, St. John’s High School announced on its Instagram page that classes would resume today.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,” said the school. “The safety of our children is of utmost importance.”

This is the second school threat in just under a week. Last Wednesday, a separate threat was reported at Bernie Wolfe School, highlighting ongoing concerns about school safety in the city.
