Drivers in Winnipeg’s St. Boniface area are being warned to expect significant traffic delays Friday morning.
An earlier collision at the intersection of Archibald Street and Marion Street has knocked down traffic signals in the southbound lanes of Archibald.
City crews are currently on scene performing repairs, and the traffic lights remain out in that section.
The Winnipeg Police Service is also on site directing traffic, but long delays are being reported, particularly for northbound traffic on Archibald Street. Vehicles are backed up from Marion Street past Elizabeth Road, nearly reaching Cottonwood Road.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and take alternate routes if possible during the morning rush.
