The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is busy Monday morning, battling a large fire in the city’s North End.
The blaze broke out just before 7:30 a.m. in a corner store near the intersection of Bannerman Avenue and Powers Street.
The fire is sending massive plumes of smoke into the sky as crews work to get it under control.
There is no word on injuries at this time.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and find another route.
Fire officials continue to investigate.
