A 32-year-old male has been arrested and charged after allegations of sexually assaulting a child during private music lessons.
The Winnipeg Police Service’s Child Abuse Unit opened the investigation in July 2025 after the survivor reported the abuse.
The child who was school-aged at the time reported that they were sexually assaulted by their adult music teacher at a private residence in the 600 block of Nairn Avenue between January 2022, and July 2025.
Following the allegations, Jett Russel Panganiban has been charged with Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference and Invitation to Sexual Touching. He has been released on a Release Order.
