Winnipeg police are searching for suspects after a fight broke out in St. Boniface early Sunday morning. 

The brawl broke out shortly before 2:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Marion Hotel in the 300 block of Marion Street.

Winnipeg police say the fight escalated to the point where several people were bear sprayed, and a 31-year-old woman was assaulted in the upper body with a weapon. 

The woman was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable. Five other adults were treated for the effects of bear spray at the scene. 

The suspects fled before police arrived. No arrests have been made.
