Winter thrills: Winnipeg’s best tobogganing hills and slides


Winnipeg may be known for its winter chill, but it’s also home to many great winter activities, including tobogganing.

With winter break coming to an end, here is a list of some of the top hills and slides to check out in Winnipeg.

Toboggan Hills 

Civic Park- 901 Kimberley Ave.

  • No lighting, no warm-up shelter

Isbister Park- 535 Hamilton Ave.

  • Two hills
  • Lighting and no warm-up shelter

Westview Park (a.k.a Garbage Hill) 1 Midland Street

  • No lighting and no warm-up shelter
  • Roadway to the top of the hill is closed during the winter months

Woodhaven Park-1870 Assiniboine Ave.

  • No lighting and no warm-up shelter

Victoria Jason Park- 255 Redonda St.

  • No lighting, no warm-up shelter

Winter Slides

Bunns Creek Park – 365 McIvor Avenue

  • 1 slide
  • Night lighting and warm-up with washroom
  • No attendant on Monday or Wednesday

Crescent Drive Park- 781 Crescent Drive Park

  • 1 slide
  • Washroom available

Fraser’s Grove Park- 85 Fraser’s Grove
