Winnipeg Jets Captain Adam Lowry is here to stay for a little while longer.

On Wednesday, during the True North Youth Foundation Gala, the Winnipeg Jets announced that they had signed Lowry to a five-year contract extension worth $5,000,000 annually.

“I just wanted to say how excited I am to sign for five more years,” said Lowry in a video posted on the Winnipeg Jets’ social media. “I love playing in front of you all. It’s a terrific place to play. Can’t wait to get started, and hopefully we can bring Stanley home.”

The 32-year-old, who is now in his 12th NHL season, has served as captain of the Winnipeg Jets since 2023-24. He was the Jets’ third-round pick in the 2011 NHL draft.

In his over a decade-long career in the NHL, Lowry has recorded 276 points and 420 penalty minutes in 782 career NHL games.

Lowry has also been recognized internationally, winning a silver medal with Canada at the World Championships.
