The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced Monday that infielder Ramón Bramasco has re‑signed with the club ahead of the 2026 American Association season.
Bramasco delivers a career year
Bramasco led the Goldeyes last season with a .289 batting average. He also topped the team in home runs (seven), runs batted in (51), hits (108), walks (63) and games played (96). His performance earned him the team’s 2025 Pepsi Goldeyes Player of the Year award.
“Getting Ramón back was a top priority for us this off‑season,” said Goldeyes manager Logan Watkins. “He’s been one of our most impactful players and leaders these past few years. His consistent production is uncommon, and we are thrilled to have him back.”
The 28‑year‑old originally joined Winnipeg in 2024, hitting .286 over 77 games while helping the club reach the league final.
Before playing in Winnipeg, Bramasco spent two seasons with the Tigres de Quintana Roo in the Mexican Baseball League, and he previously played NCAA baseball at the Washington Huskies (2019–21), where he posted a .275 batting average.
With Bramasco’s return, the Goldeyes now have six players under contract for 2026:
- RHP James Bradwell
- IF Ramón Bramasco
- RHP James Colyer
- IF/OF Mason Dobie
- RHP Noah Millikan
- RHP Willian Suárez
American Association clubs may carry up to 33 players during spring training.
The Goldeyes will open their 2026 campaign on Friday, May 15 in Franklin, Wisconsin, against the Milwaukee Milkmen. Their home opener at Blue Cross Park is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, against the Kane County Cougars at 6:30 p.m.
