Two Winnipeg Jets will represent the United States in the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. On Friday morning, USA Hockey announced that Kyle Connor and Connor Hellebuyck will suit up for the team.
The news comes two days after Team Canada announced Josh Morrissey will make his Olympic debut.
The Winnipeg Jets shared the news on social media, saying, “Connor Hellebuyck & Kyle Connor. Olympians.”
Hellebuyck is coming off a season where he won the NHL’s most valuable player award after leading the Jets to the Stanley Cup Finals. For the second consecutive season, he also took home the Vezina Trophy as the league’s top goalie.
Connor sits tied for the team lead in assists and sits second in goals and points this season.
Both Hellebuyck and Connor were on Team USA in last year’s 4 Nations Face-Off, where they finished second behind Team Canada. Before the tournament, they had both represented the United States in previous international competitions. Connor won a gold medal in 2014 at the World U-18 championship, and Hellebuyck won bronze in the World Championships in 2015.
